Role:Head of the Emergency Medicine department
Location:Malta
Qualifications required:
- Medical Degree from a European Union country
- Specialty Degree in Emergency Medicine from a European Union country
- Up to date Advanced Life Support provider training (ALS).
- Up to date European Paediatric Life Support provider training (EPLS)
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong potential and motivation to develop into a leadership role will also be considered.
Contract & Benefits:
- Salary:: €90,000 to €110,000/year depending on experience
- Contract:Indefinite-term contract with a 1-year probationary period
- Annual leave:27 to 33 business days
- Commission-based compensationfor patient admissions
- Premium hourly ratefor Sunday and public holiday shifts
- Full time, 40h per week

Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent medical care: resuscitation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral
- Review ward patients daily and support consultants and medical officers
- Collaborate with GPs, community health services, and other hospitals/clinics
- Contribute to patient education, preventive health initiatives, and teaching
- Provide ongoing care for patients with chronic or terminal conditions
