Emergency Physician 

Location: Malta – a Mediterranean island known for its sunny climate, beautiful landscapes, and welcoming community.

Contract: 

• 1-year (6 months probation period)
• Full time, 40h per week
• Work schedule details : Shift basis, DDNROO, three days, it can vary depending on departmental requirements
• On-call duties and frequency : No on call duties, shift from 7am – 7.30pm with 1 hr break but there are other shifts too, e/g afternoon and evening shift

Responsibilities:

• Provide urgent medical care: resuscitation, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral
• Review ward patients daily and support consultants and medical officers
• Collaborate with GPs, community health services, and other hospitals/clinics
• Contribute to patient education, preventive health initiatives, and teaching
• Provide ongoing care for patients with chronic or terminal conditions

Qualifications:

• MD from the UE + Residency in Emergency Medicine or experience in Emergency Department
• Registered with, or eligible for registration with, the Malta Medical Council
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
• Able to work under pressure with initiative and professionalism
• Committed to continuous professional development
